This user-friendly catalog of goods and services available from the
state's Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) creates a practical
tool for state agencies in need of commodities and services from West
Virginia's nonprofit workshops.
What is a commodity code? Like a library's Dewey Decimal System,
commodity codes describe goods or services that can be produced
globally. Within the wvOASIS system, the State of West Virginia
utilizes the commodity code library known as United Nations Standard
Products and Services Code (UNSPSC), which
can be searched online.
The four primary “levels” of the UNSPSC code are Segment, Family, Class,
and Commodity, which allows CRPs to describe their products and services
as a high level or at a granular level.
